Local OrganizationsHere is a list of projects undertaken by the Lions with or on behlaf of local organisations. Joint Venture with Royal Society for the Blind to raise money for Talking Books- raised £3500. Joint Venture to raise money for a Light Co-agulator - raised £3700. Fashion Show raised £350 for Handicapped Society. £2000 contribution to Calpe House London Accommodation Fund £900raised to send Moroccan baby to London for 'Hole in the Heart' operation £300 raised for Special Olympics Fund £600 raised to send injured Morocan girl to London for treatment. £750 raised to send group of handicapped children to Abraham Moss Centre in Manchester. Contribution to Gibraltar Sea Scouts to buy Life-saving Equipment. Financial contribution to Cancer Relief Fund to building of Day Centre. £250 raised to buy Plants and Equipment for Cancer Relief Day Centre Garden. Glucometer purchased for Diabetic Society. Contribution annually for Action Aid. £350 contribution for equipment at Family Care Day Centre. Regular contributions to LCIF. £2000 raised for Campaign Sight First (CSF). Financial assistance to 'Research into Childhood Cancer' Used stamps sent on a Regular Basis to Princess Louise Hospital Fund. Supply of Beds, Bedding, Clothes and Toys taken to Hospital and Children's Home in Tangier.
